Koyla is the story of mute love. story of mute Shanker(Shahrukh Khan)who lives with his master Raja Saab(Amrish Puri).old Raja Saab wants to marry an innocent girl Gauri(Madhuri Dixit),because of he's old,he forces Gauri to marry her,& in his house Gayri meets Shankar's picture & falls in love with him, after lots of incidents,Gauri & Shankar try to escape from Raja's house & Shankar Killed By Raja but he escapes & git cured by villagers & returned to an inferno of revenge & love...Maybe the storyline seems old of 1997.the year that Shahrukh Khan played god films like:Pardes,Yes Boss & Dil To Pagal Hai.But still you can count on Rakesh Roshan's Koyla.cause after the flop of Koyla he started to make hits like:Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai,Koi... Mil Gaya & Krrish. It is an action film with comedy & thriller form.that was usually been made in 70s.music parts are not so good.but the song(Goonte Main Chanda) is been performed well. Shahrukh Khan Played well as Shankar.also Madhuri did a good job & late Amrish Puri and also Johnny Lever.the cast & crew parts are good. Very Warm Movie.6 from 10.

Thia is not an Ideal Indian Drama. It contains very graphic scenes as it deals sensitive issues like lesbians very casually. The films revolves around two girl friends. They cross the limits of alike sex relationships and started loving each other at the limit of lovers. One of the girl fall in love with a guy but this sparks an element of jealousy in her girlfriend. There is no practical angle given to the film it's just lust of same sex living beings with lots of steamy scenes.Indian audiences would certainly like the allowed pornographic material but would be tired of watching this baseless, senseless movie even once.No chance of watching it with the family or even with your Girlfriend. In conclusion this movie fails to recognize and reflect the true essence of same sex relationships. This movies not only faced aggressive actions from Indian Hindu Hardliners but also from Gay and Lesbian Community. However, amongst all this controversy the film is assumed to do fine business and get the money back with some profits.

Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic(2008)....Click Here

Kohli makes sure that 'Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic' appeals to children. It's got all the required elements: fantasy, fairy, fairy-tale story, kids etc. Adults may enjoy it with their kids but otherwise there's a lot about this film that needed improvement. Yet, it remains a tad better flick when compared to other Hindi films of this genre, such as 'Koi Mil Gaya' (ugh!).At this point, I can't say that the story is a start-to-finish ripoff (even though it feels very familiar) but it's not very original either. Kohli takes a lot of ideas from films like 'The Sound of Music', 'Nanny McPhee', 'Mary Poppins', 'Rent A Kid' and even the TV-series 'Heroes'. The movie is a little too sugar-coated for my liking but then again, kids like this kind of stuff. Some of the characters suffer from poor writing and what was the point of the butler (Razak Khan in a different avatar)? Since when did Indian business tycoon's even have butlers? Even the love story between Ranbir and Geeta is rushed. Actually, at many points the story is downright ridiculous. I mean, what was with the judge forcing the kids to be raised by their parents's murderer Ranbir? On the technical front, it scores low and this is where 'Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic' suffers. A fantasy film needs to create that fantasy feel but due to the poor special effects (it looks almost amateurish), ancient animation, unimpressive songs and flat cinematography fails to involve the viewer in its world. I wonder why the animation looked so old fashioned in this film when Kohli did a good job with it in his second film 'Hum Tum'. Considering that Yashraj productions was behind funding this film, one would have expected it to look better. Even in a lesser budgeted movie like 'Bhoothnath' the technical side is well taken care of.Saif Ali Khan does an okay job with what he's given but the transformation in his character seems rushed, choppy and of course, very hard to believe. The director fails to show why he suddenly transforms from this cold unfriendly man to a caring guardian. Not only that, but he also teaches the children life lessons that he never applied those to himself. Perhaps we are to assume that he was initially trying to be kind to the children out of guilt. Amisha Patel seems to get typecast as the annoying bimbo (she played a similar role in last years 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd'). She fits the caricature well. The annoying Rishi Kapoor acts drunk. The child actors are the 'usual cute kids' you see in Yashraj films but these ones actually do try to act instead of just being cute. Now the magic of this film is clearly Rani Mukherjee. She plays the part as if it was written for her (perhaps it was). She acts her part very naturally providing excellent comic relief from the sappy moments but at the same time, the character is unidimensional. The sad thing is that 'Thoda Pyaar Rhoda Magic' could have easily been a better film technically, given the financial resources of Yashraj productions (or perhaps they suffered a little too much from their last couple of flops?) and content-wise, had the story itself been a little more real without the excessive sugar and ridicule. You can watch it with kids in the hope that they'd laugh or watch it with adults who'll laugh for the wrong reasons.

When love is not madness, it is not love… Haal-e-Dil is about the same neurotic madness that one suffers from when stuck in the maze called love. It's a young love story of people who'd go any lengths to loose themselves as smoke loses itself to the sky. They'd go any lengths to fuse that they'd not know where one ended and another began. It's the story of Sanjana for whom love is chaste and sacred. For her love is not part of life but life itself. It's the story of Shekhar who keeps tripping for every second girl and loves to be in the perennial state of love not realizing that soon he is going to meet a girl who'll change his existence. It's the story of Rohit who would fall so deep in love that resurfacing would be not possible and he will stop at no barrier and boundary from achieving the love of his life Sanjana suddenly discovers herself in the crossroad of life where she has to choose between her perfect love and a perfect stranger. What will you do when you find yourself falling for a man who is completely wrong for you and what if you are already in love with someone else? Haal-e-Dil is about ordinary people about to do extraordinary deeds in the name of love.

(To Watch This Movie You Will Have to Download VeohTV....Click Hereto Download)
Cast: Amitabh Bachchan, Aman Siddiqui, Juhi Chawla, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanshu Chatterji
Director: Vivek Sharma
Amitabh Bachchan is an actor par excellence and that is obvious in the way each of his characters differs from the next one. True to form we have yet another spectacular and memorable performance from the Big B.
In this endeavour, he is well supported by veterans like Satish Shah and Rajpal Yadav. Juhi Chawla as Anjali Sharma and a special appearance by Shah Rukh all add to the story, but the crowd stealer is Amitabh as Bhootnath. Aman Siddiqui as Banku( Aman Sharma), the mischievous kid with a heart of gold is great. His interactions with Bhootnath form the back bone of this much awaited summer release.
It’s believed that children have the strongest connection to god. They have the ability to perceive Goodness in everything and everyone.
This is a story about a seven-year-old naughty yet innocent boy, who unknowingly turns a foe into a friend. This is a story about Banku and his friend, Bhoothnath…about innocence, honesty and the pure love of a child.
Bhoothnath is the story of a ghost named Nath (Amitabh Bachchan) who makes it impossible for anyone to stay in his home in Goa since his death. Things are so bad that even taxi drivers refuse to chauffer anyone as soon as they hear that Nath Villa is the destination. But that’s till Nath comes across Banku (Aman Siddiqui) – the new kid who has moved in with his parents Anjali (Juhi Chawala) and Aditya (SRK) into Nath Villa.
So while the rest of the city trembles at the thought of the family staying there, Banku is too busy making friends with Nath whom he calls his Angel. For Banku there is nothing like a ghost. Slowly and steadily the two forge a deep friendship much to everyone’s confusion because no one but Banku can see this so called Angel.
During one incident Banku with the help of his Angel gets his school mate out of trouble. But this only causes a rumour spreading fast across the school about Banku’s special friend. As a result the principal hauls both Banku and Anjali into his office and gives him the final warning. Anjali upset with her son’s constant mischief reprimands him and gives him a slap. Unable to prove himself, Banku sulks and doesn’t speak to either Bhoothnath or his mother.
However, soon its time for Banku’s fancy dress competition and when another mother comments on how Banku is dressed exactly like ‘Nath uncle’ does reality hit home for Anjali. Heading home after the competition with Banku, Anjali comes home to find herself dealing with a group of builders who have been given permission by Nath’s son Vijay (Priyanshu Chatterji) to build a resort there. Hearing this Nath gets very angry and raises a storm – literally! And that’s when she finally comes face to face with her son’s Angel and learns the real truth about Nath and his ghostly existence.
Now that Anjali knows of Bhothnath she sets about helping his ghost to finally stop wandering. And how after setting up a ‘shrad’ ( prayer service for the departed soul) at home Banku, Anjali, Aditya and Nath’s son - Vijay - finally help Angel achieve mukti is what the rest of the film is all about.
It is believed a mother’s love is selfless. But a child’s love can transform relationships; it comes with no expectations and no boundaries. Their love can make you believe in miracles.Bhoothnath is a story about a little innocence, a little playfulness, and a lot of emotions that will touch hearts. This is a story that will show adults to see the world through the eyes of a child… an angel, a creation of god. It’s then that one will realize what a beautiful world they live in after all.
Vivek Sharma ,the director has done a really good job. From a script that is tightly held and moves quick to special effects that definitely reflect umpteen hours in the studio, the director’s hard work is clearly visible all throughout the movie.
Bhoothnath has everything for all age groups – fun for the kids and emotions for the adults. Aman has done a great job as the naughty kid and Big B is simply brilliant. From his emotions as a ghost trying to frighten the world to coming to terms that a child has him fooled to his final extremely emotional journey…everything leaves you spell bound.
Bhoothnath is definitely what we needed this summer to help keep this heat wave at bay. All through this movie you are so engrossed in what is happening that all other issues take a back seat.

Chori Chori Chupke Chupke (Hindi: चोरी चोरी चुपके चुपके, Urdu: چوری چوری چپکے چپکے) is a 2001 Bollywood movie directed by the successful pair Abbas-Mustan. It stars Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta. Chori Chori Chupke Chupke is possibly the first Bollywood movie to handle the taboo issue of surrogate childbirth.
Some of the scenes in the film have been borrowed from Pretty Woman (1990) and movie is considered a remake of Doosri Dulhan by Lekh Tandon.[1]
In 2001, the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) seized prints of Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, after it was discovered the movie was funded by the Mumbai underworld, which was resulted in a well publicised controversy, known as The Bharat Shah Case.
Raj Malhotra (Salman Khan) and Priya (Rani Mukerji) are members of high society. They meet, get married and soon Priya falls pregnant, but loses her child due to an accident and becomes infertile. The couple conceal this fact (through the advice of the doctor), and decide to secretly look for a surrogate mother to bear Raj's child. Raj comes across Madhubala aka Madhu (Preity Zinta), who is a prostitute and agrees to have Raj's baby - she is only doing it for the money. Raj conceals the fact that Madhu is a prostitute from Priya. After some much needed grooming, Madhu meets Priya and they all leave for Switzerland together to carry out their plan.
Soon enough Madhu is pregnant with Raj's child, and he happily tells his family that Priya is expecting (though actually she is not). Madhu is harassed by Raj's business partner who asks her for sexual favours. She is ready to leave the house, upset by the fact that Raj told his friend that she is a prostitute (though he really didn't). It takes Priya in order to convince Madhu not to leave, she also happens to hear about Madhu's profession but she feels that Madhu is still the right girl for their problem. Raj's business partner ends up assaulting Madhu whilst she is in the house alone, however Raj saves her. His kindness overwhelms her and she falls in love with him.
Raj's family unexpectedly end up coming to Switzerland, their sudden arrival means that Priya has to disguise her fake pregnancy so they stuff a pillow to look as if she is pregnant. The family also meet the heavily pregnant Madhu. Raj manages to convince the family that Madhu's husband has left her in his care. Raj's grandfather (Amrish Puri) arranges a religious ceremony and tells Raj and Priya that they are going back to India, this also includes Madhu.
The ceremony is very important so Priya instead sends Madhu as herself as she is the one carrying the baby. The emotion at the ceremony is too much for her and Madhu cannot bear the fact that she will have to give up her child. Priya finds Madhu's room empty, with the money dumped on the bed and pursues her to the train station. Madhu tells Priya that she loves Raj, this angers Priya and she slaps her. Raj ends up at the train station, and sees that Madhu has gone into an early labour. The doctor announces that only one of the two can be saved - Madhu or her child. Priya asks the doctor to save Madhu. To everybody's joy both the baby and Madhu are saved and she gives her child to Priya. Priya quickly lays down in her fake hospital room and the doctors bring "her" baby and while Madhu comes and visits over the doctor tell the family that her child had died as soon as she gave birth.
Madhu decides to leave and promises Raj that she will not go back to her old profession. When he takes her to the airport he realizes that she loved him and kisses her on the forehead. Madhu leaves happily able to carry on with her life.

Veer-Zaara (Hindi: वीर-ज़ारा, Urdu: ویر زارا) is a 2004 Bollywood film directed by Yash Chopra. It is a romance set against the backdrop of conflict between India and Pakistan. The movie stars Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji. The dialogues were written by Aditya Chopra.
Yash Chopra returned to directing after eight years, his last directed film being Dil To Pagal Hai (1997). The film was originally going to be called Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum, a name take from the title of a song in the movie Silsila (1981). The director, Yash Chopra, eventually decided on Veer-Zaara as a title. However, one of the songs in the film is called "Yeh Hum Aa Gaye Hain Kahan", a twist on the proposed title. The film was eventually the biggest Bollywood hit of the year at both the Indian and the international box office, being showcased at numerous prominent film festivals.
Most of the story is told in flashback from Veer's prison cell.
Zaara Haayat Khan (Preity Zinta) is an independent, carefree, and sprightly young Pakistani girl travelling to India. Her bus, which is traveling to India with her "bebe's" (a Punjabi word to denote mother or grandmother, but here used for Zaara's old governess) ashes. Before dying, "Bebe" (Zohra Sehgal) begs Zaara to fulfill her final wish - to take her ashes to India, to the holy Sikh city of Kiritpur, and scatter her ashes in the river there, among her ancestors. Zaara decides to carry out Bebe's dying wish.
In India, Zaara's bus gets into an accident, overturns, and she is saved by an Indian pilot, Squadron Leader Veer Pratap Singh (Shahrukh Khan). Zaara completes her Bebe's final rites with the help of Veer. He convinces Zaara to go back to his village with him, and spend one day together. Veer then takes Zaara on a tour of India's Punjab and they visit Veer's hometown during the Lodi festival. The two fall in love and Veer is just waiting for the right time to tell Zaara how he feels about her. But then it is revealed that Zaara is engaged to another man, Raza (Manoj Bajpai). During their last few moments together, Veer confesses his love, then watches sadly as Zaara boards the train that will take her back to Pakistan. Both believe that this is the end of the story, and the last time they will ever see each other.
Zaara eventually realizes that she loves Veer and cannot marry her fiancé; Veer, after being told over the phone by Zara's friend Shabbo, that how miserable Zara is without him, quits the Indian Air Force and goes to Pakistan to bring her back with him to India. Zaara's mother, however, begs him to leave Zaara. Zaara's father is a high-profile politician whose reputation will be ruined if news got out that his daughter is in love with a Hindu man. Veer respects this and decides to leave. But Zaara's fiancé, outraged by the shame Zaara has brought upon him, frames Veer and has him wrongly imprisoned for being an Indian spy.
22 years later, Veer meets Saamiya Siddiqui (Rani Mukerji), who is an idealistic Pakistani lawyer, whose mission in life is to pave the path for women's empowerment. To dissuade a female lawyer from being successful, she has been given Veer's case, an impossible case to many. The man has been languishing in prison and has not spoken for the last 22 years.
Veer tells Saamiya she can do anything for the case except mention, much less subpoena, Zaara's family. He's assigned the number 786 for his prisoner number. This convinces Saamiya that God has chosen Veer for some special purpose, and determined to exonerate him, and restore his name, identity and country.
After a number of attempts which fail to prove Veer's innocence, Saamiya goes to Veer's village in India to gather evidence proving Veer is Veer and not Rajesh Rathore the spy. There, Saamiya finds Zaara has taken over in the village for Veer's parents. Saamiya convinces Zaara to go back to Pakistan with her and finally tell the truth about Veer's identity. The judge releases Veer from prison and apologizes on behalf of Pakistan. After Veer is finally released, he and Zaara return to India together, at last reunited.

Jaanwar (1999)
Watch This Movie....
Jaanwar(1999).....Click Here
Jaanwar is a story about a child changing a criminal into a good human being. This film is also supposed to revive Akshay Kumar’s slagging career. But I really don’t see how. Akshay proved he had talent and was capable of carrying off challenging role in Sangharsh, but here he doesn’t do full justice. Jaanwar may become a hit or flop, but it certainly doesn’t give us any new insight on Akshay Kumar’s acting.
Baadshah (Akshay Kumar) is picked up when he’s a young child by Sultaan (Shakti Kapoor). Sultaan turns Baadshah into a hardcore criminal who robs and kills. Baadshah comes across Sapna (Karisma Kapoor), a dancer, and both fall in love and decide to get married. On the day of the wedding, Baadshah gets into a fight with one of his rivals and can’t make it to the temple where he’s supposed to get married. He finds a baby boy, lonely without any caretakers and decides to change his way of life (and name) and be the guardian to the boy. Later, when the boy (Aditya Kapadia) is 8 years old, his biological parents (Mohinsh Behl and Shilpa Shetty) come back to take him. Sultaan also comes back to haunt Baadshah, now known as Babu Lohar, because he wants his money back that Babu lost in a deal.
The screenplay is very poor. Hardly any of the scenes seem like anything new that I’ve seen. There is also a lot of crying, which I think the director put in, so the audience would cry. But low and behold his efforts misfire, completely. All I was thinking of while watching the movie is when it would end, since there is hardly anything new in the film. The story idea itself is good, but the director and writer fail to take any advantage of it. The only plus points of the film are a few catchy songs (“Mera yaar dildaar bada sona,” “Kasam se,” and “Mausam ki tarha”) courtesy of Anand-Milind and a couple of performances.
Akshay Kumar isn’t excellent, but he’s not that bad either. He doesn’t seem to have the same confident he had in Sangharsh, but he does look fresh in some scenes. Karisma doesn’t have any scope at all, except in the songs. Ashish Vidhyarthi gives a commendable performance, but with a film that’s mediocre such as this one, his work will be easily forgotten. The worst part of the film, at least for me, is to see a talented actor such as Ashutosh Rana being wasted in such a small role. Shilpa Shetty has something different here than what she normally gets, but in every scene all she has to do is cry.

Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? (Hindi: मैंने प्यार क्यों किया?, Urdu: مینے پیار کیوں کیا, English: Why did I fall in love?) is an Indian Bollywood movie, released on July 15, 2005, directed by Davi Dhawan. It is about the relationships of a womanizing doctor named 'Samir' (Salman Khan) who gets ultimately stuck between two women: a patient with suicidal tendencies named 'Sonia' (Katrin Kaif) and his nurse 'Naina' (Sushmita Sen).
The movie is a remake of the 1969 Hollywood comedy Cactus Flower, starring Walter Matthau, Ingrid Bergman and Goldie Hawn.
The tagline of the movie is "Liar liar, love's on fire".
Samir (Salman Khan) is a very successful doctor: He not only looks after his patient's various maladies, but also looks after his female patients' hearts. Most women fall for him and his irresistible charms. The only person who has not fallen for him is his dutiful nurse Naina (Sushmita Sen).
Whenever a girl gets too close to Samir and starts talking about marriage, he sends her off by telling her he is already married. However, one day, he meets Sonia(Katrina Kaif), a beautiful young woman and Samir is smitten. When she learns of his 'wife', she wants to meet her -- and Samir introduces Naina, as well as her niece and nephew, as his wife and children.
Samir then arranges a fake divorce from a fake wife with the help of his best friend, lawyer Vicky (Arshad Warsi) who, despite having a steady girlfriend (Ishaa Koppikar), frequently flirts with Naina. To complicate things further, Samir's mother (Beena Kak) suddenly appears and doesn't want her son get divorced from Naina (when he isn't married to her in the first place). And then, there is Sonia's neighbour Pyare (Sohail Khan), who does not want Sonia to marry Samir: he wants Sonia for his own and she seems to like him, too.
The web of lies around everyone grows thicker and thicker, but finally, Samir is able to marry Sonia. But before the altar, she makes him realize that she isn't the right wife for him; that he is in love with Naina who has proved her love since she played along, pretending to be his wife. Samir agrees and rushes to the airport, because Naina wants to escape to Canada, while Sonia gets married to Pyare. At the airport, Samir manages to arrive in time: he convinces Naina to stay and she agrees.

Tashan (English: Style) is an Indian Bollywood film starring Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles. Produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra under Yash Raj Films, the film, which released on April 25, 2008, marks the directorial debut of Vijay Krishna Acharya who wrote the screenplay and dialogues for films like Dhoom (2004) and Dhoom 2(2006).
Tashan opened to mixed reviews, which ranged from average to negative. Most of the critics criticized the film's lacklustre script penned by director Vijay Krishna Acharya. Critic Taran Adarsh from indiaFM gave the film a 1.5 out of 5 rating and concluded that it was "...one of the weakest films to come out of the Yash Raj banner."[26] Rajeev Masand from CNN-IBN described the film as "...a road movie...that is going in all the wrong directions."[27] On the other hand, Sanjay Ram, who gave the film 3.5 stars out of 5, wrote, "The film, though with many slips, is thoroughly engaging and entertaining. The vibrancy and spunk keeps it alive and loaded."[28] Film critic Maitland McDonagh from TV Guide, a frequent reviewer of Bollywood movies, described the film as "a delirious crime romp [that] borrows pop-savvy attitude from Quentin Tarantino, stylized gun play from Sergio Leone and stylized hand-to-hand combat moves from Hong Kong action films. The result is a nutty, ridiculously entertaining neo-noir pastiche with lavish musical numbers."[29]
The reviews regarding the performances of the lead actors varied, with most of the critics agreeing that Akshay Kumar was the main highlight of the film followed by Kareena Kapoor. Taran Adarsh noted, "Tashan belongs to Akshay Kumar completely. No two opinions on that. Take Akshay out of this film and the movie is a big zero. He's the lifeline of this project...[whilst] Kareena Kapoor is fantastic. She looks gorgeous, acts very well...and yes, she carries off the bikini with élan."[26] Sonia Chopra from Sify concluded, "It is Akshay and Kareena who sizzle in the film and have the best parts."[30] On the other hand, Anil Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's performances met with mixed reactions. Sonia Chopra further explained "Anil plays the baddie to the hilt...[and] Saif...gives a strictly lukewarm performance."[30]

Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi (English: Player of Players) is a 1996 Bollywood action thriller starring Rekha in her first villain role, Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon and WWE wrestler Brian Lee. The film went on to do very well at the box office. It was one of the highest grossing films of the year.
Ajay Malhotra has re-located to the U.S., and has started his own orchestra with the help of some of his friends. His elder brother, Akshay, decides to visit him, and on the airplane meets with Priya, and both fall in love. Once in the U.S., Akshay finds out that the Police have a warrant for the arrest of Ajay, and want to question him about this. Akshay's attempts to locate Ajay, lands him with a female criminal don named Maya, who also happens to be Priya's sister. Maya is holding Ajay, and will only release him after he hands over incriminating documents.
While watching the movie, many people mistook Brian Lee as the real Undertaker, the popular character in WWF/E. However, Mark Calaway has always played the original character in WWF/E. Though Brian Lee has also played the character of (fake) Undertaker for near about 3 months during his initial WWF/E tenure before getting defeated by (the real one) Mark Calaway.

Aamir Khan has raised the bar with TAARE ZAMEEN PAR. Comparisons between Aamir and Ajay Devgan, who makes his directorial debut with U ME AUR HUM, would be erroneous, but you can't turn a blind eye to the fact that the viewer would expect an encore with U ME AUR HUM. Will U ME AUR HUM live up to the humungous hype and expectations? Does Devgan have the trappings of a fine storyteller? Oh yes, he does!Let's come to the point right away. Devgan needs to be lauded for choosing a daringly different theme in his debut film and most importantly, doing justice to it, handling it with extreme care. We know him as a powerful actor, now there's yet another designation added to his name -- avant-garde director.
Let's move on to the next query! Is the real-life couple -- Ajay and Kajol -- as dynamic yet again? The answer is, they're electrifying. Both pitch in bravura performances, reaffirming the fact that this jodi is amongst the finest of this generation. One of the prime reasons why U ME AUR HUM works, and works big time, is because it's aimed at the heart. Anyone who's into relationships, anyone who believes in love, anyone who thinks from the heart, anyone who has watched his/her partner grapple a grave disease, will identify with a film like U ME AUR HUM. To cut a long story short, U ME AUR HUM marks the birth of a powerhouse of talent. Watch U ME AUR HUM for various reasons, but most importantly, watch it for a new director who respects your 2.30 hours and the hard-earned bucks that you invest on watching his movie. It's time to fall in love with love… again! The first time Ajay [Ajay Devgan] saw Pia [Kajol], she served him drinks. She affected him more than the alcohol, it was love at first sight. The name Priyadarshan is synonymous with comic fares. It instantaneously conjures up images of several entertaining films he has attempted over the years. Naturally, you expect his new outing MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP to be a joyride as well. Even the promos of the film, beamed round the clock on TV, give an impression that it's a laugh-riot.Sure, MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP has its share of light moments that make you chuckle, even break into laughter, but it's not a laughathon from start to end. From the interval point onwards, right till the finale, the focus shifts to drama, making the goings-on serious at times.
One factor that goes against the film is its length. The concept is truly novel -- for the Hindi screen at least -- but how one wishes Priyan would've controlled its length. Movies of 2 to 2.15 hours duration are fine, but 2.40 hours [add to it the promos of new films, plus interval makes it a 3-hour outing] is strictly no-no in today's times. Priyan should've brought down the length for sure! Despite hiccups, MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP has endearing moments that work to its advantage. In a nutshell, it had the potential to rise to the level of GARAM MASALA, BHAGAM BHAG and BHOOL BHULAIYA, but it eventually ends up being an average fare!
Janaradhan [Paresh Rawal] has spent his life bringing up his two kids, Chirag [Manoj Joshi] and Gaurav [Akshaye Khanna]. Now when the duo has grown up, Gaurav takes up the responsibility of his father. They both manage the household chores and their business to the best of their abilities. Though he is the younger son, he treats his father like his son. Gaurav shouts, threatens, fights, even locks up his father occasionally so that his prankster-friend Madhav [Om Puri], who is desperate to get married, does not spoil him. Madhav and Janaradhan, who are always in search of a bride for Madhav, forever land up in trouble and every time Gaurav has to bail them out and face the embarrassment. Gaurav starts getting prank calls from a girl who turns out to be his old college friend Shikha [Genelia D'Souza]. Shikha is staying with her guardian Anuradha [Shobhana], who happens to be Janardhan's first love.Gaurav and Shikha notice changes in Janaradhan and Anuradha's behaviors when they come face to face after many years. They come to know about their past. Now Gaurav wants his father to get married to his lost love. Of course, the path is not so smooth, there are obstacles. MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP begins really well. Om Puri's roving eye, Paresh Rawal's timid nature, Om and Paresh's encounter with lady cop Archana Puransingh -- the sequences are truly very enjoyable. But Genelia's constant calls to Akshaye, though meant to be equally interesting, fall flat; they hardly evoke any mirth. The twist in the tale -- when Paresh spots Shobhana -- increases your anxiety and you look forward to a gripping tale in the second hour. But it's a mixed bag again. Agreed, people may scoff at the idea of a 60 + man wanting to get married, even though his son [of marriageable age] is a bachelor, but it could've been presented more convincingly. Here, the writer is at fault. The Naseeruddin Shah track in the finale is fine, but his bowing down to Akshaye in a fraction of a minute is difficult to digest. Directorially, Priyan knows the craft well, no two opinions on that, but he needs to judiciously trim the film by at least 30 minutes for a stronger impact. Vidyasagar's music is a major disappointment. Barring the title track, which runs on the end credits, the other tracks are strictly okay. Piyush Shah's cinematography is excellent and the stunning locales of Kerala act as icing on the cake. Dialogues deserve special mention. Some of the lines are truly well penned. Editing is the weakest link of the enterprise. Both Akshaye and Paresh live their roles, though there's a possibility that a section of the audience may not really like the son bossing over his father. Acting-wise, Akshaye is, as always, very much with the character, essaying his part with incredible ease. Paresh gets a solid role yet again and he sinks his teeth into it. Again, a job well done! Genelia looks fresh and pairs off well with Akshaye. She leaves a mark. Om Puri is lovable and a major asset for this movie. Archana Puransingh is excellent. Rajpal Yadav is wasted. Ditto for the powerhouse of talent, Shobhana. She deserved a better deal. Manoj Joshi is fair. Naseeruddin Shah is effective, as always.

Hum Aapke Hain Koun...! (Hindi: हम आपके हैं कौन, Urdu: ہم آپ کے ہیں کون, translation: Who Am I to You?) is a 1994 film directed by Sooraj Barjatya and one of the most successful Bollywood films ever. The film is a story of two Indian families and the relationships between them, celebrating Indian culture using modern production values. It is noted for its lavish depictions of North Indian wedding ceremonies. Its popular soundtrack, including an unusually large 14 songs, was scored by Raam Lakshaman. Hum Aapke Hain Kaun stars Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit, two of the top Bollywood stars of the 1990s. HAHK was very influential and inspired young filmmakers such as Aditya Chopra and Karan Johar. This movie was dubbed into telugu as Premalayam.
The story was originally adopted in the film "NADIYA KE PAAR" of Rajshri Productions and again in this film HAHK. It tells the story of two lovers, Prem (Salman Khan) and Nisha (Madhuri Dixit). Their older siblings, Rajesh and Pooja get married. After Pooja has her baby, the elders decide to get Prem married with a girl like Pooja. Prem and Nisha slowly fall in love with each other. Prem tells his sister-in-law, Nisha's older sister, Pooja, that he loves Nisha.Pooja binds the two with her blessings and a necklace. Before Pooja can tell anyone the good news, she falls down the stairs, and dies. Everyone feels they lost their life after Pooja dies, because she had a magic touch that even the dog, Tuffy, notices. Rajesh finds life hard without Pooja, and he finds it especially hard to raise their son. The parents decide to get Rajesh married to Nisha so that he won't feel so lonely, and his son will get a mother. Nisha unknowingly accepts because she thinks that she is going to marry Prem. When she finds out she is marrying Rajesh, the two lovers decide to sacrifice their love for Rejesh's happiness. The servant that Pooja treated like a brother prays to God to stop the wedding and have Prem and Nisha get married. The dog decides to do something and takes the necklace Pooja gave to Nisha to wear to her wedding with Prem. Nisha writes a note saying that she is giving Pooja's bind back to Prem. The dog takes the necklace and note and instead of giving it to Prem, he gives to Rajesh. Rajesh finds out that Nisha and Prem love each other, and steps aside so that his younger brother can marry Nisha. They live happily ever after.

If you've watched the promos of DE TAALI, you'd expect a film with tremendous youth power. You'd expect gags, gimmicks, laughter-n-sunshine and lots and lots of fun. But DE TAALI is anything but this! On the contrary, it's a slow-paced love story, which depicts one of the actors as a modern-day Devdas who hits the bottle when his girlfriend walks out on him. There's a kahani mein twist as well -- the kidnapping episode -- but you don't feel giving a taali to that too.Note another aspect. Two songs from the film have been heavily promoted -- the title track [which has lots of energy] and 'Maari Teetri' [plays to the masses completely] -- which might compel you to buy the ticket. The title track comes when the movie concludes [end credits], while the other number is just not there.
Most importantly, DE TAALI gets it wrong on the script level. Loosely inspired by a popular TV drama [DAWSON'S CREEK] is okay, but the material lacks the power to keep you hooked. Sure, DE TAALI has a few engaging and enjoyable moments, but it's akin to an oasis in a desert.
In one word, disappointing! Paglu [Riteish], Amu [Ayesha] and Abhi [Aftab] are buddies, an integral part of each others lives. Amu is a girl amongst the two guys, though Paglu and Abhi don't treat her like one. Paglu is the one who makes her realize about her feelings for Abhi. Life, however, takes a serious turn when Abhi falls in love with Kartika aka Anjali [Rimi Sen]. DE TAALI starts off quite well and the bonding between the three friends is well established in the initial portions. Things perk up the moment Rimi Sen enters the scene and shows her true colors. Everything's fine till she's kidnapped -- the interval point. But things only go downhill in the second hour. The entire kidnap drama, the Saurabh Shukla track [it can't get weird than this], the dejected lovers [Mukul Dev, Pawan Malhotra, Sanjay Narvekar] reaching the wedding venue and the family surfacing from oblivion, everything looks ludicrous. By the time you reach the finale, the viewer is already bored and has lost all interest in the enterprise. E. Niwas doesn't get in right this time. He knows the job well, but if you've noticed his last few outings as well as DE TAALI, you'd agree that he needs to concentrate on the script than making the frames look alluring. Vishal-Shekhar's music is a mixed bag. Barring the above-mentioned two numbers, the remaining songs lack fizz. Riteish is lovable and his range is finally being tapped by film-makers. Aftab lends his part the required class. Ayesha Takia is getting better and better with every film. Rimi Sen spices up the otherwise bland scenario with her performance as a gold digger. Anupam Kher is wasted. Ditto for Pawan Malhotra and Mukul Dev. On the whole, DE TAALI is a poor show. It's an apt case of the promos looking great, not the film.
